With an outstanding background as a professional player and over 40 years of teaching experience, <Mark Milburn brings both his passion and his expertise to the court, helping you believe & achieve!

 

Mark was born in New Zealand and started playing tennis when he was 7 years old. At the age of 16 he joined the Otago tennis team and was ranked their #1 player for the Southern District's Team. He won the Southland Championships when he was 18 years old. His Best Year was 1996 when he was unbeaten as the #1 player in the national tournament.

He was ranked number 15 in New Zealand in 1996. He had a successful junior career and is well recognized in New Zealand. Mark has been coaching for 18 years now, including spells in the UK. During the year Mark was in London, working as a tennis coach he assessed the ability of potential scholarship students at the Sutton Junior Tennis Centre in Rosehill.

 

He also had the opportunity and pleasure to work with learning disabled kids and found this to be a very rewarding experience. During his tennis career Mark has won the Otago Championships 8 times (3 singles - 5 doubles).
